Invitation from Animals Asia

Since the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) hosted the pioneering and groundbreaking Asia for Animals conference in Manila in May 2001, this event has literally mushroomed in attendance, content and success. Nine years later in January 2010, hosts ACRES saw a record 400+ people attending the conference in Singapore from countries in Asia and across the world.

Animals Asia now extends a very warm welcome to join us in Chengdu, China, between 10th and 14th June 2011 for a jam-packed schedule of presentations and events under the banner of "Out of the Box – bringing animal cruelty to an end". The focus will simply but intensely, highlight cruelty and abuse and call on delegates and attendees to engage together in inspirational and practical approaches showing how suffering and cruelty in all aspects of animal exploitation can end.

In a continent where customers are eagerly consuming many species to extinction, where billions of unwilling victims of commercial trade and entertainment are murdered, mutilated and exploited, and where companion animals with whom we share a common bond of friendship are suffering and dying in numbers so vast, their plight can be more efficiently addressed and helped as a result of the knowledge developed and shared by us all. The conference key theme is to spread ideas, shout about your solutions, and inspire and be inspired with presentations showing how abuse can be reduced and ended — Asia wide.

The challenge this year is to have speakers talking about "how" they did/do things rather than "what" they did/do! Engage, motivate and inspire and show that the challenges of working together in Asia and crossing so many divides of culture, economics, laws and opinions can be overcome, successfully, together.

The team of Animals Asia is looking forward to hosting the Asia for Animals conference in June 2011, welcoming old friends and new, and seeing you all there!

Register now to enjoy the early bird rate!

Warm wishes,
